How does it feel?

(Re: “School founder arrested for theft”)

I hate to use a Bob Dylan line, but he was just playing last night (albeit poorly) at Red Rocks, how can it feel to invest so much in a school and have that happen? Maybe you should have worked it out at the school you were at. Shoot, I would take your petty complaints any day, we can handle them at St. Clare’s!

Stone Creek works

(Re: “School founder arrested for theft”)

My kids have learned more at Stone Creek Charter School in one year than the four years at St. Clare’s. As for the education at Stone Creek School, let the CSAP scores speak for themselves and by the way when all the kids started at Stone Creek they were give placement tests to see just where each child was and the kids from St. Clare were two years behind the kids in their same grade.

Eagle open space deal

(Re: “Open space deal fails in Eagle”)

“Fisher said a significant amount of the land involved is on the south side of the river, and is virtually inaccessible because of steep slopes. And, she noted, as the county thought about the deal further, the commissioners decided the land wasn’t at risk for dense development.” Was she talking about Bair Ranch?

You can’t handle the truth

(Re: “Why right-wing radio works”)

I am a conservative radio talkshow host son. We live in a world that has radios. And those radios have to be filled by talk show hosts with microphones. Who’s gonna do it? You? You, liberalite? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Air America and you curse Rush Limbaugh. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: That Air America’s bankruptcy death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, as a conservative radio talk show host while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves the lives of those who would otherwise be brainwashed by liberal drivel and claptrap.

You don’t want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that microphone. You need me there. We use words like honor, patriotism, God, right and wrong, and loyalty … we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use ’em as a punchline.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom of speech which I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I’d prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a microphone and do a show. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you’re entitled to.

Just entertainment

(Re: “Why right-wing radio works”)

Mr. Mitton, you don’t save anybody’s life nor provide any freedoms nor anything else consequential. Those rights were given to you and every other American. You just trumpet your words as gospel while stifling differing opinions with demagoguery.

Nothing is more patriotic than questioning our government even in times of war. If you really think the troops are listening to you or the liberals, you’re pompous and naive. You are nothing more than entertainment. To paint yourself as more patriotic-than-thou is disingenuous.
