We’ve heard it before

Re: “Eagle proposal not based on reality”

I’m trying to figure out how to say this without the usual level of hostility that exists in anonymous comments. Jan, we have heard your opinion over and over and over again. We know where you stand. It has gotten irritating to hear you say the same thing over and over. You are not doing your cause any good. People who agree with you still agree with you. You are alienating a portion of the “independent” by just being a fly that won’t stop flying into their face.

Enough timeshares

Re: “Economy slows Vail ‘renaissance'”

Do we really need another timeshare in West Vail? Isn’t it better to use the site for employee housing? It is near to the services people need and an easy bus ride to town for work. Vail Resorts should buy it and develop it for beds for its workers. Who in their right mind would buy a condo on the north frontage road facing noisy I-70 even in good times?

Curb-side recycling now

Re: “Where does your recycling go, Vail Valley?”

I say we need weekly curb-side recycling (not bi-weekly, not monthly, etc). I also think we need full-size recycle containers. I would purchase one if available. I want one that is at least half the size of a large trash can; with locks to protect from bears.

Web comments a waste

Re: “Where does your recycling go, Vail Valley?”

What I like about the Vail Daily comment section is it’s entertainment factor. So many people chiming in about one subject or another from all walks of life. It’s incredible to see just how much time is wasted in front of the computer. I say wasted because I personally have already solved most of the problems of the world while riding the chairlift.
