WOLCOTT — Cookies and cocktails mix perfectly, and because it’s Christmas they count as health food.

The Wolcott Yacht Club is hosting its annual holiday cookie, crafting and cocktail evening on Tuesday. The event is decidedly more arts than crafts.

For $20, you get everything you need to decorate holiday cookies, as well as a glass of wine or handcrafted holiday cocktail to make you believe you’re more artistic than you actually are. They provide the cookies — gourmet cookies prepared by their pastry chef — and everything you need to decorate them, said Jan Jouflas, Wolcott Yacht Club owner.

Speaking of artistic, jeweler, artist and inspirer Kelli Davis, of Kelli Davis Designs, will host a trunk show during the event.

And local musician Pat Hamilton will perform from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

If you stick around for dinner, you get 20 percent off your bill.

Davis is sort of an unintentional artist.

“I never dreamed I’d become an artist. I always thought I’d be a therapist and professor in a clinical psych program somewhere,” Davis said. “Teaching and working with people had always been my dream.”

She’s a Reiki master and says she discovered a world of inspiration through art.

“Gemstones and pearls are concentrated forms of consciousness that have many different properties,” Davis said. “I am deeply passionate about inspiring this world through my art. While I don’t promise that my necklaces will shift your life — they just might. They’ve inspired the lives of many, including my own.”
