GYPSUM ” A woman cut off an officer in her car and signed the wrong name on her ticket Monday, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The driver failed to yield to a sheriff’s deputy at Highway 6 and Valley Road and was pulled over. The driver had no identification and told the officer her name was Hilda.

The 18-year-old woman signed “Karen” on the ticket. The she crossed out Karen and wrote “Hilda.”

People called her Karen at school, she told the skeptical deputy.

By chance, a friend stopped by and the deputy asked the friend what the woman’s name was. The friend said Karen.
