Women’s financial seminar held in Eagle

EAGLE, Colorado – A financial seminar for women is being offered in Eagle.

“Money Talk: A Financial Guide for Women” was developed because women have unique financial needs. Statistics tell us women live longer and earn less, on average, than men, so money has to last longer. In addition, women have gaps in their employment history due to family care giving that will affect future retirement benefits. Finally, some women lack financial experience.

This program will provide women with the information that they need to take charge of their financial future. The five topic areas include financial basics, insurance basics, investing basics, investing for retirement, and planning for the future life events.

This program is at the Eagle Public Library from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, April 7 – 28 and May 12. For more information, contact the CSU Extension office at 970-328-8630 or glenda.wentworth@eaglecounty.us. The cost is $50 for all five sessions and a guidebook.
