Women’s telemark clinic starts Saturday at Vail’s Golden Peak

VAIL – The resort’s Women’s telemark workshops begin Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Golden Peak base area. It is an intensive workshop taught by the Vail Nordic Ski School.This workshop is sponsored by Smartwool and one pair of Smartwool socks will be provided to each participant. The cost is $67 for season pass holders or $120 for the lesson and lift ticket. Telemark skiers also can rent equipment through Vail Sports. Rentals are available for a special rate of $28 for workshop participants.Participants are encouraged to pick up their rental gear from Vail Sports the afternoon prior to the clinic or between 8 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on the morning of the seminar. All workshop attendees should meet at the Vail Nordic Ski School in Golden Peak by 8:45 a.m. The Women’s Telemark Workshop is the first women’s-only clinic of the season that’s part of the larger eight-session Telemark Workshop Series at Vail and Beaver Creek. The next Women’s Telemark Workshop will be held at Beaver Creek on Feb. 6.Vail is hosting one more Telemark Workshop this season open to men and women on Feb. 27 at Golden Peak.
