Woodland appointed to ambulance district board
Vail, CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado – The Eagle County Ambulance District has a new board member.
Dr. Larry Brooks resigned from the board of directors June 16 after nearly eight years of service to pursue activities that would limit his participation.
“This is an outstanding group and I was proud to be part of it,” Brooks said. “The ECAD staff is top notch and the board is fortunate to have great leadership in the clinical and management areas.”
Dr. Chip Woodland was appointed to serve in the interim. Woodland has served as an emergency physician at Vail Valley Medical Center for 18 years. He also is active as the co-chairperson of the Vail Valley Medical Trauma Services Committee and the National Ski Patrol. Woodland is board certified on the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
The Eagle County Ambulance District, founded in 1982, provides emergency medical response service to 770 square miles of eastern Eagle County, including the communities of Vail, Eagle-Vail, Minturn, Red Cliff, Avon, Beaver Creek, Edwards, Wolcott, Bond, McCoy, and 46 miles of I-70.-
