Work on fairgrounds event center to start
EAGLE – A groundbreaking ceremony at the Eagle County Fairgrounds for a new building that could host rodeos, car shows, sports teams and 4-H activities, among other events, is 4 p.m., Monday. The 150-foot by 300-foot building will cost about $2.4 million to build. It was designed by a citizen advisory committee appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The building is meant to host a variety of other community events.The groundbreaking, which is open to the public, will take place at the building’s construction site in the fairgrounds’ west parking lot.Vail, Colorado
