Workshop attempts to ease divorce in Vail Valley

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – Dr. Randy Simmonds, at the Samaritan Counseling Center in Edwards, is offering a workshop to help people recover from divorce. The workshop, “Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends,” is based on the best-selling book of the same title.

The eight-week workshop leads people through a step-by-step process that makes divorce recovery easier and less traumatic.

Simmonds, who is an ordained minister with a Ph.D. in pastoral counseling, is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and a licensed professional counselor in the State of Colorado.

Simmonds serves as the clinical director for the Samaritan Center, providing supervision and education for the staff, in addition to providing counseling services for adults, couples and adolescents. He has served as an interim pastor three times in our valley, and brings 27 years of counseling experience to the ministry of the Samaritan Center

The cost of the eight week program is $30 per session. The workshop is scheduled on Tuesday evening at the Samaritan Center in Edwards, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 27 to Dec. 22.
