World Class Driving will host Colorado driving events in August, giving residents a chance to drive five of todays most coveted, prestigious supercars. The Colorado driving experiences are part of World Class Drivings national U.S. Tour, which holds these events in more than 40 other destination cities throughout the United States.Introduced with the goal of offering people the opportunity to drive a handful of new, exotic cars in the same day, World Class Drivings fleet includes cars from automakers such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Audi. Models like the Ferrari Scuderia, Maserati GranTurismo, Lamborghini Superleggera and LP640, as well as the Audi R8, are available for guests to drive. The collection is worth more than $3 million.World Class Driving made sure to include only the newest cars from the very best exotic marques for this year. Our goal for 2008 was to offer enthusiasts and exotic owners something impossible to personally arrange on their own, said World Class Driving Chief Driving Instructor Didier Theys. This year, we wanted to offer the most sought-after exotics no one could find together anywhere else, and weve accomplished that by coordinating a stunning line-up with the likes of the Ferrari Scuderia, Maserati GranTurismo, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Murcielago LP640 and Audi R8. Theys, whose notable professional racing accomplishments include more than five seasons in the CART Championship Series and three Indianapolis 500 starts, has also won the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring races and is an accomplished Grand-AM Series driver. Theys is able to explain the distinct nuances behind driving each car and ensure that drivers get the most excitement possible. The driving tour will visit four Colorado cities this August, offering morning and afternoon driving tours to interested parties. The World Class Driving experience begins with registration at a hotel in one of the featured Colorado destination cities. After a brief educational session on each car, with specific driving points from the instructors, World Class Driving opens up the automobiles for guests to drive for the day on a pre-arranged route in organized, scheduled blocks to guarantee seat time in each of the chosen automobiles. These driving events will take place in Eagle County on Aug. 2, Aspen on Aug. 6, Colorado Springs on Aug. 9 and Denver on Aug. 10. The price for World Class Driving events is $1,495 per driver. Drivers may also have one non-driving guest seat-side for an additional $300.
