Wrap it up with the Polish Ambassador

Daily staff report
Special to the Daily

VAIL – It takes a serious sense of humor to rock an ’80s one-piece jumpsuit and claim you’re simultaneously from Oakland, Calif. and another universe.

Meet The Polish Ambassador, aka David Sugalski.

Never heard of him? That’s OK. Jump online to catch a glimpse.

“Check out the videos and you’ll catch his sense of humor and his ability to work the crowd,” said Crawford Byers, his manager. “If you jump on his Facebook, you’ll see how he interacts with his fanbase.”

The Polish Ambassador is known for upbeat electronic dance music and layered melodies. He blends elements of funk, glitch, hip-hop, ’80s music, jungle and dub into a sound that makes you want to dance.

He recently supported Savoy at The Fillmore in Denver.

“I want to create an experience for the concertgoer, create something that they’re going to remember that’s not just some blob of bass and drums that at the end of the night you’re like, ‘That was dope!’ but you don’t remember anything the next day,” Sugalski recently told The Boulder Weekly.

Final day of Snow Daze

Vail Snow Daze wraps up this afternoon with a free concert at Checkpoint Charlie from The Polish Ambassador. DJ Mo:Rockin will open. The day’s events also include the Reverb Eco Village and Demo Daze at the base of the Vista Bahn and the Cadillac Experience at Solaris Plaza.

DJ Mo:Rockin’s signature style includes electro, mash-ups, glitch hop and dubstep. The venue will open and the music will begin at 3:30 p.m.

The Reverb Eco Village and Demo Daze will be at the base of the Vista Bahn on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. featuring brand expos from the likes of Maui Jim, Sprint, Muscle Milk, Matador Beef Jerky, Stonyfield Farms, Evol Burritos, Rustic Crust and gear demos from Nordica and Ramp Sports. The Cadillac Experience will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solaris Plaza where you can check out the latest from Cadillac.
