Vail, Colorado –This summer, Yoga Off Broadway in Eagle, will offer a Yoga Kids Camp for boys and girls, ages 4 through 10. In its second year, the camp is designed to help kids practice some of the underlying principles of yoga, while playing, learning and having fun.

Each day camp starts with a yoga practice designed to help young yogis warm up and feel “centered.” Mornings continue with a science session where campers participate in an experiment or learn about nature.

After a picnic lunch, kids participate in an afternoon music or art project before ending the day with some closing yoga poses and practice.

“Kids loved the camp so much last year, that many students attended the first session, then signed up to return for the second session being offered several weeks later,” said Yoga Off Broadway owner Kelly Marshall. “We’re really excited to be able to offer this program to kids and their parents again.”

Central to the camp are the concepts of non-judgment and non-competitiveness, Marshall said. Campers also learn tools for keeping themselves healthy with good food and sleep, and how to foster feelings of peace and calm through the breath

“We try to teach the kids self-expression and self-confidence by presenting yoga, art, science, and music projects in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere,” said

Marshall, who was a Science teacher for eight years prior to opening Yoga Off Broadway.
