Yoga class focused on fearlessness set for Saturday in Edwards

This Saturday at 8:45 a.m., Dogma Athletica will hold a special yoga class open to the public and is complimentary to first-time participants to Dogma Athletica. The class will be co-taught by Dogma Athletica owner Rod Connolly and Dogma Yoga Studio director Elena Georgouses. It is based on the Dogma Yoga Studio’s March theme of fearlessness. This is a great opportunity for Vail Valley yogis to deepen their practice and experience a guided meditation and challenging physical practice based on the same intention.

“Traditionally it is said that confusion and fear prevent us from experiencing our true nature,” said Georgouses who has 25 years of meditation and yoga experience. “Yoga helps uncover the essence of who we are. It’s the ultimate ‘come as you are’ party.”

“We will use our mats as our personal laboratory to learn and discover more about ourselves,” she continued. “Our breath anchors us in the present moment so that we can create space to be aware of whatever arises in our bodies and mind. We actually start to develop confidence simply by showing up fully and discovering that withdrawing or shutting down or becoming aggressive isn’t necessary.”

Yogis who would like to attend this special class are encouraged to show up about 10 to 15 minutes early to check in.
