EDWARDS, Colorado – As part of its Yoga For the People program, Dogma Athletica will donate money collected during the Sunday afternoon yoga class to local charity Roundup River Ranch.

Dogma Yoga instructors volunteer their time to teach the Sunday afternoon class, and participants are asked to donate anything they can, whether it is $5 or $50. A new charity is chosen each month to receive the contributions.

Roundup River Ranch is a local organization designed to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses by providing year-round camp experiences with appropriate medical care that are fun, safe and empowering – all free of charge to participants and their families. Roundup River Ranch is set to open this coming summer, and anything Dogma Athletica collects from its Sunday class will go toward the Ranch’s $20 million “Campaign for Laughter.”

Dogma Athletica Yoga Director Amy Baker is proud of what “Yoga for the People” has become.

“We started ‘Yoga for the People’ this summer in Eagle, and it has grown into this wonderful event where more and more people are able to get involved,” she said.

In addition to this donations-based class, the Yoga Studio at Dogma Athletica also offers $5 lunchtime yoga classes from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“We want everyone to experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice,” Baker said. “Especially moving into the holidays and ski season – one hour a week can help tremendously with tight hips and hamstrings.”
