Yoga, meditation and gong relaxation at Vail Cascade
VAIL CO, Colorado
Thursday marks the winter solstice, a time when when we are amidst the shortest days and longest nights of the year. The Vail Cascade Resort and Spa is hosting a celebration of the midwinter, offering a Kundalini yoga practice on Thursday, during this introspective period. Use this quiet practice to take some time away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
“The Kundalini practice is a dynamic blend of postures, pranayama, mantra, music and meditation,” said Kristina Kuzmich, the yoga program dupervisor at the Vail Cascade. “It teaches you the art of self-healing, relaxation and evaluation.”
Vail-based Kundalini teacher Onkar Kaur will lead the practice from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cascade’s Aria Spa and Club. The evening will include yoga, chanting, dancing, meditation and gong relaxation.
Wear white clothing to the event and bring a blanket, pen and paper. You are also welcome to bring a can of food to donate to the Salvation Army this holiday season.
