AVON — Are you or someone you know looking for ways to help enhance your fertility, reduce stress and reconnect? Synergy Center for Wellness in Avon is hosting the Yoga for Fertility workshop on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Led by local instructor Chanelle Fleury, this workshop is for anyone who desires a change, wants to find new ways to connect with their body and partner, and to learn how to increase the chance of conception.

A few of the benefits of fertility yoga include: increased blood flow to the reproductive organs, balanced endocrine system and hormones, a calm mind and more.

“When we are on the journey to motherhood via natural conception, reproductive medicine or simply thinking about starting the journey into motherhood, we have to believe that our bodies are capable of carrying a baby,” Fleury said.

According to Harvard Medical School, women who participate in mind-body programs, which include yoga, are nearly three times more likely to get pregnant.

Synergy Center for Wellness offers a beautiful space where women can connect and feel safe while taking home knowledge and new ideas. This workshop is very supportive, gentle and does not require previous yoga experience.

Fleury is a local yoga instructor who is passionate about helping to restore women’s fertility naturally.

“I want to help bring a sense of calm, love and acceptance to women who are on the journey to motherhood,” Fleury said. “It’s important to find renewed energy, trust and love for our body and minds, while learning how to let go of grief and live in the present. I have found through the practice of yoga, and connecting with like-minded women it takes the burden of self doubt away. Yoga has expanded my world in so many positive ways, and I want to give that to other women. I feel it’s important to remember, you aren’t alone on this journey, there is always hope and new doors to open.”
