Yoga workshop at Synergy in Avon set for Monday
AVON — Curious about what your yoga teachers are talking about when they talk about the energy body? Wondering where your chakras are and how your yoga practice impacts them? Synergy Center for Wellness in Avon is hosting a workshop on Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Asana and the Energy Body, with Susan Chiocchi to address these and other questions about the subtle effects of yoga. This is an experiential workshop exploring energy anatomy and how it relates to yoga.
Chiocchi has had a life-long interest in health, wellness and the awakening of human consciousness. She is a senior yoga instructor, certified Reiki master teacher and long-time practitioner of Tibetan yoga and meditation. She completed a four-year degree in energy work at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She lives in Boulder and teaches yoga and energy work internationally.
“Susan brings together the various systems of energy anatomy and makes them tangible and accessible to anyone. Her teachings reveal things that before you may have only read about,” said Karen Anderson, yoga director at Synergy.
The workshop will be an experience-based exploration of the energy anatomy and how it relates to yoga.
“With deeper understanding of our energy bodies in relation to yoga postures, we are able to extract the fullest essence from yoga practice,” Chiocchi said.
This workshop is suitable for all experience levels. Please come prepared to practice yoga asana.
