VAIL – The Yoga Studio at the Vail Athletic Club welcomes back founder Kelly Heath this week for two yoga workshops that will entice Vail’s most adventurous yoga practitioners. Heath takes things upside down on Thursday night with “Handstanding 101” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. On Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. she leads “Buoyancy Control,” an exploration of how core strength can inform and improve arm balancing postures like handstand as well as some less common advanced postures. “I’m thrilled to come home to Vail and practice with this amazing community,” says Heath, who founded the studio in 2006 and moved to Santa Barbara, Cali. two years ago. “I’d love to invite every level of practitioner to come out to these workshops. Even though the postures we’re working towards are advanced, the journey there will be playful and supportive. Expect to sweat, laugh, and learn something new.”The workshops cost $34 each, or $60 for both sessions if purchased before March 30. The day of cost is $40.The Yoga Studio at the Vail Athletic Club is located within the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa, at 352 East Meadow Drive. For more information visit or call 970-476-7960.
