You are loved

Gary Wingo

So, how’s your 2005 going? Are you encouraged? Do you feel a sense of joy in your life?Oh, I don’t mean all this new snow, which is wonderful. I mean your heart, your soul – you know, those deep down places where no one else knows what’s going on.Today, I want to be straightforward with you. I want you to know just how much you’re loved, how close the Lord really is to you, and how completely you can trust Him. My hope is that you can experience the real adventure of God’s grace, truth, and forgiveness. Look at these verses right out of God’s word, the Bible. Too often, we misunderstand the heart of God for u, so look and enjoy. Open your mind to the power of God’s compassion for you:– “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight,” Proverbs 3:5-6.– “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever,” Psalm 23.– “Praise be to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God,” II Corinthians 1:3-4.– “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all this, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity,” Colossians 3:13-14.– “For God loves you so much that He gave us His only Son, that whoever puts their faith and trust in Him will never die, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn us, but that through Him, we may have eternal life,” John 3:16-17.”May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5.My prayer for this valley is that all who read these powerful words may be built up, blessed and encouraged. Today, not only can you know and live God’s truth, you can give it away to all you lock eyes with! Read this and be generous: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you,” Ephesians 4:32.Each day is new, a do-over for our benefit. Embrace the grace and live the love, for it is free from God Himself.Be encouraged. You are not alone. “Because of God’s great love for us, we are not consumed; for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great, Lord, is Your faithfulness,” Lamentations 3:22-23.Gary Wingo is pastor of Seekers Fellowship, a gathering that meets at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards at6:30 p.m. Sundays.Vail, Colorado
