AVON, Colorado Growing roses in the mountains is the topic at Wednesdays session of the Mountain Adapted Landscape gardening series. Mary Mastin, a rose expert certified American Rose Society, will present Roses for Mountain Communities from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Avon Librariy. Space is limited and pre-registration is requested. Picking the right roses and how to plant them will be the themes of Mastins talk. The Mountain Adapted Landscape series provides information about plant materials, techniques, and other tips for a beautiful landscape in our mountain climate and is presented in partnership by Colorado State University Extension, Eagle Valley Library District and Eagle River Water & Sanitation District.For more information or to register, contact the Avon Public Library at (970)949-6797.
