EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” Christian-based youth ministry will kick-off its high school events with a back-to-school dance on Saturday.

The dance be held at the Eagle-Vail Pavilion from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Young Life, a worldwide Christian youth ministry, is a place for middle and high school students to hang out with friends, play games and grow in their faith, said local coordinator Scott Leonard.

Young Life’s weekly Club, an event with music, games and “clean fun”, begins next Monday at the Miller Ranch Community Center from 7:32 p.m. to 8:32 p.m.

The back-to-school events continue with the inaugural “lock-in,” where high school students can pull an all-nighter, play in basketball and volleyball tournaments, and enjoy games, food and friends at the Gypsum Rec Center on Sept. 19.

The entire rec center will be open for students all night for indoor soccer, gymnastics, video games and climbing.

Young Life’s middle school chapter, Wyldlife, began last week with Club, messy games, skits and hang-out time. Almost 120 students attended.
