Bravo! Vail hit a musical high note this year with its annual gala event, held at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch.

Headed up by the capable Michelle Resnick and Carole Segal, the room glittered with elegant candelabras, and after the food had been served and money had been raised, the hot band Funkiphino filled the dance floor.

The silent auction was high tech; each guest was able to monitor their bids and view items through a website. The extensive auction included unique items such as a violin signed by Joshua Bell, dinner for 16 at the home of Kelly and Sam Bronfman and a gorgeous diamond necklace, valued at $12,500, donated by Currents Jeweler.

Guests rallied to raise big bucks during the auction. Bob and Lori Brown snatched up tickets to “The Voice,” and the lovely Kay Chester walked away with the crown jewel, the conductorship of the New York Philharmonic next season. Proceeds from the evening go to Proceeds benefit Bravo! Vail’s education and community engagement programs.

Bravo! Vail wrapped up its summer season on Saturday, Aug. 6. Already, the buzz is extremely positive for next year, as the season opens again with The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields at the end of June.
