Letter: EagleVail needs help

Our small and beautiful community of EagleVail needs your help. We have been overrun with dog feces.  We have nice walking and cross-country skiing paths on our golf course. But some very disrespectful and entitled pet owners refuse to pick up after their dogs. We have signs posted informing pet owners of the rules and we have poop bag stations everywhere to make waste disposal convenient.

However, the EagleVail Metro District and the EagleVail Property Owners Association have no real mechanism to force these owners to adhere to the rules. Therefore, we are looking for suggestions from homeowners in other neighborhoods on how to handle the situation. Maybe the pet owners in Arrowhead or Cordillera or Singletree or Vail have solved this issue. If so, then we welcome your advice.
