Letter: Team building in business and EagleVail
Team building requires an understanding of the task(s) at hand and the skills to accomplish those task(s). In business, I’ve built and led teams up to hundreds of geographically diverse people to accomplish billions of dollars of business. As the EagleVail Property Owners Association president, I’ve nurtured a team with diverse perspectives and priorities to work together utilizing our skill sets.
By design, team and/or board members should not be in agreement on every issue or else they will have similar blind spots. The team/board should be able to move forward as a team once the votes are cast.
The task of the EagleVail Metro District is to manage an entire community of locals, working people, families, retirees, business owners, renters and second home owners.
I believe the EVMD board members should have a wide variety of skills and experiences to best represent the diverse goals of the members of our community. Personally, I am focused on improving this community now and over the next 30-plus years since I am proud to call EagleVail home.
This election should not be focused on a single topic, especially if that one topic is a single amenity in the community. This election is about how our community will be managed for the next four years.

Kelli, Dennis, and I are not a team with a single agenda. We are three individuals who were encouraged by members of the community to run based on our dedication to this community. We each bring different skills, perspectives and priorities, but we all believe in financial transparency, two-way communication and making this a better place to live, work and play.
We would be honored to earn your vote, but more importantly we want to ensure that your voice is heard.
