Letter: Thanks for beautiful new Red Sandstone

Vail Daily Letter to the Editor

My daughter and I were lucky enough to attend the ribbon cutting for the new Red Sandstone Elementary School. Wow, it is beautiful.

The view from the library of the Gore Range is one people spend millions to have. The Maker’s Space lab is buzzing with activity of building remote controllers to control whatever their imaginations can come up with. There is a dedicated music room that rings of creativity.  There is a cafeteria not shared with the gymnasium and there is a secure entrance to keep all students safe.

Thank you to all the voters who perhaps don’t have kids but realize the value of public education and the importance of a neighborhood school within the town of Vail. Thank you to the town of Vail for continued support in the Maker’s Space Lab and especially thank you to the architects and builders for keeping the integrity of Red Sandstone Elementary School.
