Letter: The next generation knows what it wants

Kudos to the group of high school students who stayed after the town of Eagle’s board meeting to speak in support of raising the age and the price to purchase tobacco products, specifically Juul and other vaping products.

This generation knows what it wants and is tired of watching adults wring their hands in non-action and point fingers at each other. They’re hearing the dangers of vaping and want to do something. Raising the price and age is doing something and they believe it will help curtail this epidemic. Making it harder and more expensive to get tobacco will stop some kids. Who does it hurt by raising the age and price? 

The next generation knows what it wants and many will be of age to vote in 2020. I am inspired by them and they give me hope.
