Vail Daily letter: Display flag correctly

It’s heart-warming to see how many area residents display the American flag.

Yet, when the flag is hung without a pole, it sometimes is positioned incorrectly and contrary to recognized protocol. The union (where the stars are) always should be to the left of the viewer, not to the viewer’s right.

Let’s see more of our flag throughout the Vail Valley.
