Vail Daily letter: Franciose for coroner
Our community is fortunate to have someone with Sue Franciose’s medical experience, compassion and commitment running for the coroner position. During my 10 years as chairman of Vail Valley Medical Center, I saw first hand the importance of the coroner position. The coroner is not a top of mind position for most people; however, it is for the medical community, mountain rescue, public safety and the faith community. My enthusiastic support of Sue is driven by two thoughtful considerations. First, I have personally experienced Sue’s compassion, intelligence, drive, caring personality and how respected she is by friends, community organizations and the medical community. Second, the endorsements and testimonies she has received from community leaders in education, medical, nonprofit, public safety and importantly the former coroner of 24 years who trained and worked with both candidates. Check out Sue’s website, http://www.suefranciose.com, if you haven’t already.
I asked Sue, why are you doing this? Her answer was simple. “I can make a difference during a families’ worst time, providing them with all the options, and being compassionate and supportive through the process. I want the coroner’s role to be more involved with preventative and informative programs for the community.”
I have full confidence she can and will passionately delivery on this pledge. Please join me in supporting Sue Franciose.
