Vail Daily letter: Grateful for Vail
I just participated in my first Vail Town Council meeting as a newly elected council member. It is an honor and a privilege to serve my community in this role and I want to express my gratitude to all of the Vail voters, friends and neighbors who voted for me in the election.
During my campaign, many Vail community members reached out to me. People called me at home, sent emails, and stopped me in the streets to talk and express their hopes, visions and ideas for Vail. I am always eager to hear other people’s perspectives and passions, especially when it comes to our home mountain resort community and its future.
While people may have differing opinions on projects and initiatives within the town of Vail, there is more common ground and shared vision than we might sometimes think. Above all else, every Vail voter I listened to expressed an authentic sense of commitment to our community, and gratitude for the incredible and beautiful place we all call home.
I hope everyone who lives in Vail will continue to share their thoughts and participate in helping shape our community’s future. Thank you again to everyone who showed up and voted in the Vail Town Council election.
