Vail Daily letter: Great memories of Vail
Please accept my sincere and warm congratulations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of International Dance Festival in Vail.
With the students of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, I twice had the opportunity to come to the beautiful and lovely town of Vail, for the last time in 1992 as a graduate of the academy.
I still remember the streets of Vail, magnificent mountain views, wonderful Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, warm welcome of the audience and meetings with festival organizers.
I could never forget President Gerald Ford, a highly intelligent and intellectual person, a real patron of the arts.
The democratic atmosphere of the festival made a tremendous impression on girls and boys from Russia.
The cooperation between organizers of the festival and the academy led by a world famous ballet teacher, Madame Sofia Golovkina, is a great example of true dedication to dance art that is universal and has no borders.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to wish you strong health, inexhaustible vital energy and good luck.
Let the festival continue its noble task in memory of great people who are in our hearts forever.
