Vail Daily letter: Great step by Habitat

A great plus for our community was the Habitat for Humanity land acquisition at Stratton Flats. It will help continue the growth of affordable housing for people in need. Land has always been the first hurdle in achieving the goal of building simple, affordable housing. The impact on the families selected to purchase these homes through a no-interest loan is truly amazing. Children do better in school, parents advance in their workplace, communities are formed, all in part because they have a safe home in which to live and are building equity in their homes

Habitat provides a hand up for working families. If you have never volunteered with Habitat I’d encourage you to come down to Stratton Flats and experience helping families achieve their dream home .
