Vail Daily letter: ‘Mean’ people

With the Eagle-Vail Metro District elections soon approaching, word now has it that if you were one of those who opposed the clubhouse/community center bond issue that you were “mean.”

Sorry, I lied. The mean reference is really meant to attack the character of only those individuals who, for the first time, actually took to the streets with signs of opposition.

It was not supposed to turn out the way it did. There could be one and only one reason why the issue was defeated. It got defeated because those mean, uninformed, misguided, crackpot nut balls somehow got into the heads of the voters, confusing more than 600 of them so much that they mistakenly checked the wrong box on the ballot.

Simple as that!
