Vail Daily letter: My choices for Eagle
I had the privilege of serving four years on the Eagle Town Board with Pappy Kerst and always found him to be a man with good, honest reasoning in all of the decisions that he made. One of his favorite sayings is, “You have two ears and one mouth for a reason.” Pappy is a very good listener and when he does talk it is obvious that he listened well and made his decision after listening to all that was presented. His commitment to the town of Eagle is impressive and admirable to say the least. While I have not served on any prior boards with Paul Witt or Kevin Brubeck, I believe these two will be great trustees given their prior experience and records. Both are without a doubt good, honest men. They have served the community in a variety of ways and their willingness to keep giving back to the community is much appreciated. Though new to the town of Eagle political process, I believe Matt Solomon will be a very good trustee. Matt is a local business owner and is full of energy and good, new ideas to help move the town of Eagle forward.
We are fortunate to have four candidates of this caliber and I believe that these four with Anne McKibbin as mayor and the existing two trustees, Doug Seabury and Andy Jessen, will make up a great Town Board that the town of Eagle can be proud of.
