Vail Daily letter: Thanks for support
Battle Mountain High School’s parents and students would like to thank ThinkFirst Chapter with the Vail Valley Medical Center, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle County Paramedic Services, the Vail Police Department and the Eagle River Youth Coalition for conducting the Drivers’ Safety Awareness Initiatives at BMHS last week before prom.
These activities helped promote the importance of safety, making good decisions and stopping distractions while driving.
We also thank the following businesses for supporting the BMHS Safety Initiative by providing gift cards and encouragement for safe drivers on the road for our young: Alpine Arts Center, The Bookworm, Colorado Mountain Express, Fiesta’s, Freshies, Green Elephant Juicery, Marble Slab Creamery, Noni’s Hair Bar, Smiling Moose, Starbuck’s and Wendy’s
And we thank our BMHS parent and student community for their time and support in helping make this happen: BMHS Student Council, BMHS National Honors Society, BMHS PTSA and the PTSA volunteers who helped at the event: Jen Clouatre, Betty Harwood, Karen Howe, Dana Mauer, Cherie Rollins and Kristen Rubis.
Thank you for making BMHS Prom 2015 a safe evening! And a reminder to parents and students alike: Please refrain from distracted or impaired driving. Put your phones where you can’t reach them!
