Letter: Why I’m running for Holy Cross Energy board seat

I’m excited to share that I’m running for the Holy Cross Energy Board of Directors to represent the Northern District.

As a longtime Eagle River Valley resident and an energy and climate professional, I’m passionate about keeping our electricity affordable, reliable, and sustainable. Holy Cross is doing incredible work providing clean energy and investing in community programs that help our homes and businesses save money. I want to build on that strong foundation and help lead Holy Cross into a future that’s even more resilient and community-driven.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with our local governments and utilities to lower energy costs and improve efficiency. I’ve led efforts across Eagle, Pitkin, and Garfield counties to update building policies and currently serve as the facilitator of the Colorado State Energy Code Board. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on practical, local solutions that keep costs down while supporting a cleaner future.

If elected, I’ll work hard to help Holy Cross reach its 100% renewable energy goal by 2030 — without compromising reliability or affordability for our members.

Ballots for the election arrive in early May and voting closes June 3. I would be honored to earn your support. Thank you for being an active part of our cooperative.
