Letter: Why I’m running for Holy Cross Energy board
I humbly ask you to elect me, Edward Fuller, to the Holy Cross Energy Board of Directors for the Northern District. I deeply care about preserving and continually improving our quality of life. This requires responsible decisions, embracing emerging and more efficient technologies, putting more money back into consumers’ pockets, and achieving a harmonious balance between people, the Holy Cross Energy mission and our resources.
We face many challenges in pursuit of sensible and affordable energy production. One immediate threat is wildfire, potentially impacting service to our communities. Therefore, fire mitigation must remain a top priority.
Leveraging both evolutionary advancements and, when available, revolutionary technologies is paramount. The amount of energy required for future technology cannot be overstated. While short-term actions to “decarbonize” may yield immediate benefits, it is critical that we avoid unintended long-term consequences, as seen with certain technologies.
My background uniquely equips me for this role. As an Air Force veteran with over 23 years of service, I hold a science degree and studied technical management and safety at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. My career spanned federal and local government as well as private-sector roles in technical operations, facilities, and power production.
My expertise includes but is not limited to:

Support Local Journalism
- Program/project/strategic planning & management
- Policy and Statute interpretation and development
- Risk and root-cause analysis
- Budget oversight and implementation
- Natural resource protection
- Conflict resolution
- New business development
- Public safety
Throughout my career, I have identified and implemented cost-saving measures that have resulted in over $320 million in savings for U.S. taxpayers, while maintaining mission effectiveness.
I pledge to be a board member who listens to your concerns, champions your voice, and works diligently to find win-win solutions for our Co-op.
Thank you for your support and vote.
Edward (Ed) Fuller
