Vail Daily letter: Ceremonies were great
In response to Ryan Wolffe’s letter to the editor (Thursday’s Vail Daily), did you go to the same Opening Ceremonies I went to? I was so impressed that it started on time and ended on time! The program happened like clockwork — there were no lengthy delays, which frequently happens. It’s true, the torch held by Cindy Nelson would not light, but that appeared to be the only real glitch, and it was handled beautifully when Billy Kidd handed his torch to her. Things do happen despite all the planning and preparation. Everyone around me had a great time, and the next day we were all still talking about it. I guess some people have to dissect everything and simply don’t allow themselves the opportunity to enjoy the moment!
