Vail Daily letter: Kirchner for school board
Tessa Kirchner is running for a second term on the Eagle County School Board and deserves your vote. I have been fortunate to witness her skill as a board member firsthand, serving alongside her as a school board member for the past two years. She has proven her dedication to Eagle County public schools for over 15 years, since her oldest child entered kindergarten, and has only become more engaged within the school district as her children progress through the school system. Tessa has taken leadership roles in PTA, Wild West Day, District Accountability Committee, Evening of Stars teacher recognition, and relentlessly campaigning for the 3B ballot initiatives.
Serving on the school board is a significant commitment of time and energy. Not only has Tessa served the school district well over her first term as a board member, she had been attending board meetings regularly for years prior to being sworn in four years ago. In addition to the significant “standard duties” of a school board member, Tessa also serves on the following subcommittees: Legislative Liaison, Finance, Fundraising Policy and Land Use. Outside of her work on the school board, she is quite active with these organizations: Colorado Association of School Boards, Great Ed Colorado, EFEC (Education Foundation of Eagle County), and treasurer for state representative Diane Mitsch Bush.
Tessa has shown an incredible dedication to serving the youth, parents and teachers of Eagle County Schools for many years. Vote for her so we all can benefit from her skill, experience and enthusiasm for another four years.
