Vail Daily letter: Langmaid for Vail council
Dear Vail voter,
I have lived in Vail for 36 years and have witnessed its path of growth. It seems obvious that having smart leadership as we go forward is really important. That is why I am supporting Kim Langmaid in her bid for election to the Vail Town Council.
If you know Kim, you probably don’t need to read any further. If you don’t, here’s what you might want to know. Kim was raised in Vail and feels a strong commitment to the community’s future. She successfully studied for and received a Ph.D. in environmental studies. She is the founder of Walking Mountains (formerly Gore Range Natural Science School) and has been recognized on the state level for her ability to see her vision through to a science school that serves 20,000 students annually on Vail Mountain and in Eagle County.
Recently, Kim received the WOW! Award from the Women’s Foundation of Colorado. She serves on the Leadership Advisory Council of the Vail Leadership Institute.
Importantly, Kim believes in working with other leaders and community members to solve nagging problems through conversation and collaboration. She cares about what others think about issues. Kim is an experienced, intelligent leader who understands that involving others results in the best solutions.
For smart, reasoned, new leadership, please vote for Kim for Vail Town Council. You’ll be glad you did!
