Vail Daily letter: Prince for Avon council
October 7, 2014
We are pleased to support Scott Prince as a candidate for Avon Town Council. We have known Scott for eight years as our neighbor in Avon. We know Scott to be a citizen who has always expressed a genuine interest in the issues facing our community. He is hard-working, thoughtful, reasonable, logical, honest and consistently works with others in a respectful and dignified manner. These are necessary character traits in a council member, whose responsibilities, among others, is to seek consensus and common ground on important issues and decisions facing Avon. Scott's education, background and professional work history in finance will help ensure that Avon is responsibly managed using sound financial principles.
Scott's commitment to the Avon community is demonstrated through his six years of service on the Town's Planning and Zoning Commission, where he helped rewrite the development code and plans for the Town Center. As Avon continues to undergo tremendous change, this community would benefit from Scott's knowledge and experience. We look to our Town Council members for leadership as they continue to work with other stakeholders in our community, such as developers and ski resort management.
Scott's professional and civic experience, coupled with his integrity, make him the most qualified candidate to serve as a leader in our community. Please join us and vote for Scott Prince for Avon Town Council.
