Vail Daily letter: Successful event
Dear sponsors, volunteers and supporters of Project Realway: An Evening of Fashion and Fun to Benefit Bright Future Foundation,
Delphine of Parisian U and myself (First Chair Creative) are thrilled to share that our event was a resounding success. Held in Eagle on Oct 16, over 100 people attended the event in its first year.
A celebration of real women, real fashion and real fun, Project Realway also shed light on the very real issues of domestic violence and sexual assault, and sought to inspire our community in helping those in need find a real way out.
October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, it was ideally timed to raise awareness of this important cause.
Bright Future Foundation seeks to “empower individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault to lead safe, productive lives through prevention services, advocacy, crisis intervention and recovery services.”
E: Evidenced-based education
M: Multicultural awareness
P: Prioritizing prevention
W: Willingness to listen
S: Safety, security, and self-sufficiency
We were happy to call BFF our beneficiary.
We could not have done it without the help and support of many individuals and businesses in our community including Alpine Party Rentals, PSAV, Rose Petals Vail (pipe and drape), 808 Distillery, Bonfire Brewing, Red Maple Catering, Mountain Flour Bakery, Petals of Provence, Eagle Ranch Wine and Spirits, Eagle Liquor Mart, Comerford State Farm Insurance, Elements Day Spa, Pink Monkey (chandelier), Broadway and Fourth Jewelry, Fusion Hair Studio, Yetis Grind, the Bookworm of Edwards, Mary Clare’s Beautycounter, Be Good To People, Skin Care by Jen, Salt Creek Home, Eagle Ranch Fitness Club, Always Mountain Time, MF inc, The Platonics Band, and a big thank you to Daniel Silva for all day and night muscle and on-site expertise as well as weekend drop-offs.
For getting the word out, thank you to: Active Communications AT&T, KZYR The Zephyr, KSKE Country, the LIFT FM, TV8, Eagle Outside and the Vail Daily.
Our masters of ceremonies: Tricia Swenson and Erik Williams were stellar. A dynamic duo — humorous and wonderfully professional, we were thrilled to work with them. A very big thank you Tricia and Erik.
The fashion show with our real women models sporting real fashion styled by Delphine of Parisian U from Everyday Outfitters, Rouge, Holy Toledo, Valleygirl Boutique, Perch and Yoga Off Broadway was a real hit. As was the post-show cupcakes from Mountain Flour and dancing with DJ Kirby K. Thank you, Shawn and Kirby!
Thanks to all of you, we were able to raise valuable funds and awareness for Bright Future Foundation — whom provide invaluable services for over 700 families in our valley.
