Vail Daily letter: Thanks for support
Catholic Charities recently held our 20th anniversary celebration and fundraiser, Designs for Hope, at the Four Seasons in Vail. Many were responsible for our successful event and a special shout-out to all who joined us on a Wednesday evening to support Catholic Charities and our services to those in need.
A hearty “thank you” to our sponsors: Columbine Ford, Alpine Bank, Ewing Trucking and Construction, Comerford State Farm Insurance, Howard and Martha Head Family Foundation, Martin and Carmella Van de Ven, and St. Mary Knights of Columbus.
A special “thank you” to our beverage sponsors, Mountain Beverage and Curious Cork Imports.
Our “Designs” were loving made by wonderful local artists that turned ordinary pieces of furniture into amazing works of art: Ed Alpi, Nedra Bonta, Debbie Comerford, Kelly Cox, Haley Didier, Annibet Griffin, Nicole Grosjean, Sandy Grosjean, Portia Griefenberg, Paige Hazard, Melissa Molinari, John Sedlmayer, Laurie Sutliff, Emma Vanosk and Nicole Von Tempske-Clemins.
You can’t have a great fundraiser without great silent auction items. Thank you to all the businesses who donated, and who do so frequently in support of our community: Waterfall Resort, Doug and Karen Christner, The Lodge at Cordillera, Sonnenalp Resort Foundation, Red Sky Ranch, Gorsuch Ltd., Target, Kara Brouhard, Marcella Bettis, Moe’s Original BBQ, TechAble LLC, Grease Monkey, The Pet Boutique of Vail, Tim Kiss, John Lewis, Costco Liquors, Steve Gamba, Judy Milne, Ptarmigan Sports, Grouse Mountain Grill, Tom’s Door, Vail Vision, Ashlyn Spinden, Belmont Deli, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Vail Vitality Spa, Terra Bistro, Vail Valley Pharmacy, and Patricia. Thank you to the Four Seasons, Debbie Taagen and staff, who provided a lovely venue for our event and to the Vail Daily and Randy Wyrick for the great article.
Proceeds will be used to prevent homelessness and empower all those we serve. See you next year!
