Vail Daily letter: Ticer for school board

Beyond a doubt, Bob Ticer is the most qualified person to run for an Eagle County School Board position in years. As chief of police for Avon and as a Rotarian, Bob has done it all. The continuous improvement standards and accountability measures he sets for Avon Police Department’s operations has earned him tremendous respect from the public, community groups and government officials. In all he does, Bob exemplifies honesty, fairness and thoughtfulness. These attributes have been proven in his professional life but even more so as past president of the Edwards Rotary Club. Its motto is “Service Above Self.” It’s an ideal that Bob espouses at all times and never more than in his focus on youth, education and safety. Bob is well-known for his advocacy of students, faculty and support staff and his strong pledge of transparency in government. We need Bob. Bob needs you. Please join me in supporting Bob as a new member of the school board on Election Day.
