Vail Daily letter: ‘Yes’ on 4A
As a professional firefighter for 25 years, I have seen what happens when budgets are decreased and the results. Because of proper financial management, departments assure that their equipment, facilities, and personnel are in good working order. Without the continued support of those they protect, all begin to suffer. The cost cutting can only go so far before it has a tremendous impact on the citizens.
The last thing the citizens will want is a reduction in service. That means delayed response, delayed treatment, and an overall delay in what the fire service stands for. We need the tools to be what the citizens truly want us to be which is quick, skillful and nice. If we arrive quickly, have the tools to perform our skills, and are nice we all win.
I highly recommend supporting Gypsum Fire Protection District in their effort to continue providing a high level of service to its citizens.
