Eagle Valley Land Trust

EVLT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting forever the lands we love to preserve our heritage, scenic beauty, recreational opportunities, wildlife habitats, and to build a permanent legacy for future generations. Since inception in 1981, EVLT has worked with property owners (both private property owners and local governments) to permanently protect our community’s most important lands.

To date, EVLT has protected over 11,270 acres across 36 properties in Eagle County including 35 miles of public trails, 10 miles of river corridor and riparian habitat, over 10,116 acres of wildlife habitat, and 6,396 acres of scenic vistas.

In addition to land protection, EVLT also advocates for conservation at the local, state, and federal levels and provides educational opportunities for youth and adults through its Future Conservationists and Community Land Connection programs.
