Ethan Moore

Ethan and his wife, Lisa, moved to the Vail Valley in 1995.  For the first 15 years of his career Ethan worked as a Landscape Architect and land development consultant, focusing on the political approval and community input process, large scale land development, and Computer Aided Design systems.  He has an undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Landscape Architecture and Planning from Ball State University.  In 2005 Ethan received his Masters of Theology from the Rocky Mountain campus of Golden Gate Theological Seminary.  When they moved to the Valley in 1995 Ethan and Lisa joined the Trinity Church family in Edwards, where he has served as the church’s pastor since 2003.

In his monthly column “God and Coffee,” Ethan seeks to employ humor, reason, and honest thinking as a way of exploring the core truth claims of the Christian faith, and how they intersect with ‘life as it really is.’  In addition to a big mug of hot coffee, Ethan loves classic and progressive rock, fall Elk hunting season, and anything related to history.  If you aren’t interested in discussing matters of faith, he would love to tell you about his favorite obscure Progressive Rock musician, or argue about the reasons for the collapse of the Roman Republic.  Over coffee of course.   Ethan can be reached at godandcoffeevail@gmail.com
