Ritz-Carlton luxury condos priced to sell

BEAVER CREEK — The Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek is selling its final 24 luxury private mountain homes at closeout prices. Voted the World’s Best Ski Hotel by the World Ski Awards in 2013, the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch residences are only steps from the Bachelor Gulch Express ski lift. Stan Kniss, a leading broker associate with Kentwood City Properties, is co-listing the residences with Kraig Forbes, of Sotheby’s International Realty in Beaver Creek.

The ski-in ski-out luxury hotel offered 50 residences in 2006, quickly selling 26 homes before the global market cooled. The final 24 homes are now available at significantly lower prices than anything comparable in the market for luxury high-country residences anywhere in the western United States.

The two-bedroom, two bathroom residences now range in price from $889,900 to $1,599,900. All residencies have kitchens with granite countertops, custom cabinetry, Sub-Zero refrigerators, Bosch dishwashers, Wolf ranges with convection ovens and a washer/dryer for each unit. Each luxury home also offers 400-thread count Egyptian cotton linens, marble-floored baths, air conditioning, spectacular vistas of the surrounding mountains and the personalized service for which the Ritz-Carlton is known throughout the world.

“There has been no new development up in the mountain communities for nearly seven years, meaning that the supply of residencies in a prestigious hotel is extremely limited,” said Kniss. “This is a unique situation. The pricing of these units makes them an extremely attractive opportunity, and we expect them to sell quickly.”

Designed in the style of the grand mountain lodges of the Theodore Roosevelt era, the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch features Spago, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. Significant refurbishment, completed in early 2014, included the creation of the award winning Buffaloes Restaurant & Bar, a cigar room where guests can also enjoy hookahs, and a new espresso coffee shop.
