Slifer Smith & Frampton welcomes 5 new brokers to Vail Valley offices
Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate has announced the addition of five new brokers to its Eagle County team: Jean Mitchell, Cheryl McCarter, Sabrina Havlik, Juan Carlos (JC) Hernandez and JD Childress.
Jean Mitchell has resided in the Vail Valley for 26 years and has focused on selling some of Vail Village’s most sought-after properties and locations, including the Austria Haus and One Willow Bridge — private residence clubs in the center of the village overlooking Gore Creek.
McCarter’s real estate knowledge began in childhood, learning from her father who was a real estate broker. She has built a business on 90% repeat business and referrals. McCarter joined Slifer Smith & Frampton from the Dallas, Texas, area where she has specialized in luxury real estate since 2016. Her credentials include certified luxury home marketing specialist, and a guild member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
Havlik joined Slifer Smith & Frampton in 2017 where she immersed herself in diverse departments such as the front desk, and marketing, and actively expanded her expertise in real estate technology and tools. She moved from licensed assistant to broker in March 2023.
Hernandez, known by his family and friends as JC, arrived in the Vail Valley in November 2006 and found a career path in Vail’s world-class hospitality industry working for destination hotels and resorts where he eventually got into property management. Working with both national and international property owners became a real passion for him. This passion eventually grew into a desire to provide real estate services, which led him to invest in becoming a real estate agent. He’s been a broker since 2016 and joined Slifer Smith & Frampton in March.

Childress is new to the real estate industry, but not to the Vail Valley. After being a part-time resident, he and his family made the area their permanent home in 2020. He comes to Slifer Smith & Frampton from the hospitality industry where he built a strong foundation for providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.
