Vail Valley real estate sales on the rise as holidays arrive

With the holidays just around the corner and ski season well underway, the Vail Valley real estate market is holding strong. November brought an increase in local home sales, with 102 homes sold in Eagle County — an increase from 96 that closed in October. Local home prices dipped just slightly with a median sale price in November of $1,322,750 compared to $1,759,500 in October.

LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s monthly market report data shows that November’s total sales volume in the Vail Valley was $269,438,510, down just slightly from $293,016,345 in October. The sale-to-list price ratio was at 97% as sellers continued to receive close to the full asking price for their homes. As of Dec. 19, there were 359 homes for sale and 163 homes under contract. Top November sales by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty include a Daybreak Ridge home that closed for $19 million, setting a new price record in Bachelor Gulch.
