2nd Annual Mighty Marmot Kids Trail Races kicks off with Minturn Mini Mile on Sept. 15

The Vail Recreation District's three-race series is open to youths ages 5 to 10.

The 2nd Annual Mighty Marmot Kids Trail Races kicked off with the Minturn Mini Mile on Sept. 15.

The 2nd annual Mighty Marmot Kids Trail Races began with the Minturn Mini Mile on Sept. 15. The Vail Recreation District’s three-race series is open to youths ages 5 to 10. Over 50 athletes were at Little Beach Park in Minturn for the first event, competing in one and two-mile races.

The series continues on Sept 29 at Miller Ranch Open Space in Edwards and concludes Oct. 20 at Maloit Park. Races start at 4 p.m. Parents may run with their child.
